My son-in-law, Todd, loves winter because he gets to hunt. He lives on Swan Lake, and this is my interpretation of the view from his dock looking down Swan Lake on a cold, snowy winter night. I used both cotton and metallic threads for the quilting, and the snow was added (spattered) after the quilting was complete.
